The DT Swiss R 232 ONE shock with integrated lever for cross-country full-suspension bikes
The DT Swiss R232 ONE Lever shock is tailored to the needs of cross-country riders. Using the integrated lever, you can select three different settings: OPEN mode for maximum damping on descents, DRIVE mode for technically demanding climbs, and LOCK mode for fast, power-efficient forward progress.

Damping, or compression speed, can be adapted to suit the riding situation. This happens across three settings: OPEN, DRIVE, and LOCK.
In OPEN mode, the shock responds sensitively to every bump, which makes it best suited to descents. It can be fine-tuned across 13 individual increments to match rider weight and tire pressure.
DRIVE mode responds to bigger bumps while allowing almost no energy loss through the damping otherwise. This setting is therefore recommended on technical sections and gentle climbs.
In LOCK mode, you effectively get a rigid fork, so pedaling force is converted efficiently into forward drive with no energy loss.
The three compression settings are controlled via oil channels that open to different degrees, allowing for varying levels of damping. In LOCK mode, the oil channels are fully closed; to prevent damage from a hard hit, a blow-off valve opens automatically in this case.
LineAir suspension system
A low breakaway force allows damping to kick in early. Damping then rises linearly through the mid-stroke and builds into a steep progression near the end of the travel for firm bottom-out resistance without harsh spikes. This is achieved through an air-chamber spring system in which, at full extension, the negative air chamber holds higher pressure than the positive air chamber.
