The Colnago V5Rs is the lightest model the brand has ever developed. The frame weighs only 685 grams in the basic version, making it over 12% lighter than its predecessor. This weight saving does not come at the expense of stiffness or durability, allowing riders to benefit from maximum performance with minimal mass.

Refined and aerodynamic shapes

Thanks to the experience gained with previous models, the design of the V5Rs has been further refined. The frame uses slender, highly efficient tube profiles that show excellent results in the wind tunnel. This brings the aerodynamics close to the best aero models, but with a much lower weight.

Compact frontal area

With a frontal area of just 250 cm², the V5Rs is 13% narrower than its predecessor. The renewed, narrower head tube contributes to less air resistance and more efficient energy use, ensuring every watt counts.

Direct stiffness and responsiveness

The V5Rs combines low weight with aerodynamic qualities, without compromising on stiffness. This makes the bike extremely responsive and thus suitable for the highest levels of competition, such as those of the UAE WorldTour teams.

New fork and wider tire clearance

The renewed fork is not only lighter, but also more precise in steering. Thanks to a tire clearance of up to 32 mm, there is room for wider tires, which allows for extra grip, more control, and higher speed on challenging road surfaces.

High-quality carbon construction

Through the use of advanced lamination techniques, the placement of the carbon fibers has been optimized in detail. This results in a frame that is not only ultralight, but also strong, durable, and resistant to the toughest conditions.

Geometry
The geometry of the Colnago V5Rs builds on the V4Rs, but has been sharpened in some areas to make the bike even more aggressive, efficient, and better adapted to modern riding positions. Key features:

The result is consistent steering behavior across all sizes, with more directness and responsiveness in turns and quick maneuvers.

Sharper anglesThe head tube and seat tube angles are slightly steeper than on the V4Rs. This puts the rider in a more forward-oriented, aerodynamic position that improves power transfer.

Flexibility in seating positionThe V5Rs is available with two seatposts: 0 mm or 15 mm setback. This allows for a choice between an aggressive, compact seating position or more comfort and stability.

Tire clearanceSuitable for tires up to 32 mm wide (32-622), making the bike more versatile and usable on less smooth roads without losing performance.
